The Junior League of Washington's Done-in-a-Day Committee provides trained volunteers in response to requests from community agencies for short-term service by volunteers for special events.

The Done-in-a-Day Committee's primary focus is to support the League's commitment to literacy by volunteering at events and programs related to literacy or advancing the cause of literacy.

Last year the committee partnered with and supported more than 20 varied community organizations with volunteer service.
