Shopping hours will be from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday, with a variety of events taking place throughout the weekend. On Friday, November 17, the shopping weekend kicks off with the grand opening event, A Winter Wonderland. Taking place from 6 – 11 p.m., this event will feature food and cocktails from local restaurants, a wine pull, a gift card tree, and a silent auction. This year, the silent auction will be available on Handbid, an app that allows you to bid from anywhere. The silent auction may be found at hand.bid/jlwhs17.

On Saturday, November 18, between 1 – 3 p.m., adults can bring their furry friends to Dock5 for a photo with Santa. On Sunday, November 19, between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., kids can participate in Family Fun Day, with activities that include a Santa letter-writing activity, a fun craft, and photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

JLW’s trained volunteers serve the Washington, DC, community in a variety of ways, including at the National Book Festival, the Washington School for Girls, Calvary Women’s Services, and more than 20 other DC-area nonprofits. Proceeds from Holiday Shops support these partnerships, as well as the League’s programs to train and empower women as civic leaders. Learn more about the Holiday Shops fundraiser here.
