Holiday Shops, formerly known as A Capital Collection and before that Christmas Shops, is JLW’s oldest fundraiser. In 1959, Mrs. Clarence Dodge, Jr., Mrs. John W. Gill, and Mrs. Stuart W. Martin chaired the first Christmas Shop. Over six decades, JLW members have devoted countless volunteer hours to what became a marquee market and key fundraiser for the League, attracting over the years a sitting First Lady, dignitaries, and a host of internationally renowned merchants.

JLW is in the midst of a multi-year effort focused on evolving its fundraising model to ensure the organization remains in a strong financial position and can continue serving its members and the community for decades to come. As part of that evolution, the JLW Board of Directors intends to sunset Holiday Shops after the 2019 event, making this our final Holiday Shops.
