The Opportunity Grant is reviewed in three rounds throughout the League year.

FIRST ROUND— FALL

AUGUST 2020

In August, an informational webinar will be offered to prospective applicants. This informational session is designed to educate organizations about the Junior League of Washington and its grants program. During this informative session, potential applicants will be given a broad overview of the Targeted Grants & Volunteer Resources Committee and the current grant criteria will be reviewed. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to ask general questions about the application process. Organizations who interested in applying for an Opportunity Grant are encouraged to attend this one-hour session.

The Opportunity Grant will open on August 10, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. ET. On this date, the application narrative and checklist can be accessed via www.jlw.org/grants.

The Fall Opportunity Grant must be submitted no later than August 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. ET. The application narrative, checklist, and required appendices must be submitted via the online form. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

SEPTEMBER 2020

The Opportunity Grant subcommittee will review applications and identify grant recipients. The Targeted Grants and Volunteer Resources Committee will affirm the selection(s). Successful applicants will be notified via email within four weeks of submission.

SECOND ROUND—WINTER

DECEMBER 2020

The Winter Opportunity Grant application will be available in early December. Please check back in early November for an updated Opportunity Grant timeline.

January 2020

The Opportunity Grant subcommittee will review applications and identify grant recipients. The Targeted Grants and Volunteer Resources Committee will affirm the selection(s). Successful applicants will be notified via email within four weeks of submission.

THIRD ROUND—SPRING

APRIL 2021

The Spring Opportunity Grant application will be available in  early April. Please check back in early Marchfor an updated Opportunity Grant timeline.
