Targeted Grants for Community Partners

AUGUST 2020

In August, an informational webinar will be offered to prospective applicants. This informational session is designed to educate organizations about the Junior League of Washington and its grants program. During this informative session, potential applicants will be given a broad overview of the Targeted Grants & Volunteer Resources Committee and the current grant criteria will be reviewed. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to ask general questions about the application process. Organizations interested in applying for a Targeted Grant for Community Partner are encouraged to attend this one-hour session.

The informational webinar will be offered on August 14, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Click here to access the webinar.

SEPTEMBER 2020

Target Grants for Community Partners will be available on September 09, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. ET.  On this date, the application narrative and checklist can be accessed here. The application narrative, and checklist with required appendices must be submitted via the online webform. Once completed, submit all documents via the online form by September 30, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

NOVEMBER 2020—DECEMBER 2020

Finalists will be notified in early November and Site Visits will be conducted. Site visits typically last about two hours and occur during the weekday; finalists are given the opportunity to not only showcase their program, and TGVR committee members can briefly observe program participants.

In addition to Site Visits, Interview Saturday will be extended to grant finalists. Selected organizations will be given approximately 30 minutes to present their proposed program to the full Targeted Grants and Volunteer Resources Committee, providing updates to their original application, demonstrating relevant metrics that highlight program successes, and fielding any outstanding questions the committee may have.

DECEMBER 2020—MAY 2021

After the Targeted Grants and Volunteer Resources Committee makes their final selections, recommended grant recipients of Targeted Grants for Community Partners are presented to the Junior League of Washington Executive Board for approval. Additionally, selected grant recipients will appear on the Spring Ballot and be affirmed by the League’s full membership.

In May 2021, successful applicants will be notified and invited to attend The Annual Reception at JLW headquarters, where grant recipients are publicly announced, and community partners, JLW members, and community supporters are acknowledged and honored for their commitments to not only Junior League of Washington, but also the community.
